What are the Factors that Contributed to the Success of the expansion project, at the Medio Creek Water Recycling Center?

The Medio Creek Water Recycling Center, which serves 1.2 million residents in San Antonio and Western Bexar County as one of the recycling facilities of the San Antonio Water System underwent an expansion led by Pape Dawson (San Antonio Civil Engineering) and a team of consultants. 

The expansion project, following the Design Bid Build approach increased the center’s capacity by 7.5 million gallons per day (MGD) reaching a capacity of 16 MGD. The expansion encompassed components such as an influent lift station, advanced headworks with fine screens and grit removal, aeration basins, clarifiers, filters, and ultraviolet disinfection facilities.
